The words "first-round pick" can mean a whole lot of things, so I thought it best to zero in on the exact area in the first round that the Patriots own their pick this year to try to provide some detail on the caliber of player that gets taken that late in the first. That way, perhaps we'll all be able to determine how we feel about coughing up a first-round pick, if that is indeed the high end of the asking price for Brown.

Considering we heard from Vrabel about two weeks ago after the Super Bowl, and since he took at least some personal time after a very long season, the Patriots' head coach was pretty light on the details when it came to his football team heading into free agency and the draft process. If you were hoping to get a vision for where the Patriots are going this offseason, that didn't happen.
