Voice of the fan: Lack of confidence in the Patriots from 'experts' is par for the course, sign Pats are back
First, you have the clearly conspiring weasels with Hall of Fame votes. Now, you have 48 ESPN “Football Experts” picking the Seahawks to win, to 10—I repeat 10—picking the Patriots, as if our boys were Division III, 21-point underdogs. You want to get nuts, Patriots Haters? Let’s get nuts.
Giardi: Linebacker might be a need for the Patriots sooner rather than later; Dobbs out, OT Hudson in
Despite paying Robert Spillane and Christian Elliss last offseason, inside linebacker could still be a need in 2026.
Hurley: Five burning questions that will determine Super Bowl LX
Here are the questions I believe that will ultimately determine the outcome of Super Bowl LX between the Patriots and Seahawks.
Giardi: Patriots roster review/free agency preview - Safe to keep it together?
However, in talking to decision-makers around the league this past week, I got a more cloudy picture of how Hawkins is viewed, with one team telling me they thought he was a third safety (!).
Giardi: Super Bowl Notebook - One more time for this Patriots team; plus, what NFL insiders think will be key Sunday
Maye’s going to have to play at a graduate or PhD level.
Giardi: NFL Notebook - Byard willing to jump back into the fire; plus, what to make of the failed Crosby trade
"I know he's an older player, but I haven't seen any real drop-off from him. He proved that last year by obviously making All-Pro."
Giardi: NFL Notebook - What do the Patriots really think of their roster; Plus, trade target?
The Patriots don’t want to use the word "rebuild," but they had a lot of work to do, especially given how the drafts went in 2022, 2023, and 2024 (with a few exceptions). That they ended up in the Super Bowl didn’t change that. The roster needs work.
Giardi: NFL Notebook - Don't worry about Gonzalez yet; plus, more on Mad Maxx
Both Mike Vrabel and Eliot Wolf have preached their desire to keep the cornerback around for the foreseeable future, so where’s the deal?
Hurley: What's really at stake in an A.J. Brown trade?
I wanted to provide one bit of perspective when it comes to the actual cost of acquiring A.J. Brown for the Patriots. The words "first-round pick" can mean a whole lot of things, so I thought it best to zero in on the exact area in the first round that the Patriots own their pick this year to try to provide some detail on the caliber of player that gets taken that late in the first. That way, perhaps we'll all be able to determine how we feel about coughing up a first-round pick, if that is indeed the high end of the asking price for Brown.
Bedard: Does Mike Vrabel have a blind spot for his guys, including A.J. Brown?
Some thoughts while we wait for A.J. Brown's future to be decided ...
Patriots Aim Focus On These Draft Targets as they work overtime on efficient draft process
This week, we bring you up to date on some of the prospects that New England has met with throughout the draft process and provide a snippet on what each player brings to the next level.
Bedard: Takeaways from Mike Vrabel at the NFL combine - early in the process for the HC
Considering we heard from Vrabel about two weeks ago after the Super Bowl, and since he took at least some personal time after a very long season, the Patriots' head coach was pretty light on the details when it came to his football team heading into free agency and the draft process. If you were hoping to get a vision for where the Patriots are going this offseason, that didn't happen.
